ABSTRACT

The Babussalam Al-Firdaus Islamic Boarding School is located in the village of Bocek, Karangploso, Malang Regency, East Java. The owner of the boarding has been produced pasteurized milk which is performed by the students. Some of the obstacles faced by the students are the short shelf life of pasteurized milk about 5-7 days at 4 degrees C storage temperature, non-standard packaging, and the limitations of product distribution and marketing. The owner of the Babussalam Al-Firdaus Islamic Boarding School has a plan to develop dairy and bakery products. However, the students have limitation of knowledge and skills in processing those products, and the boarding school has limitation of processing equipment. To overcome these problems, our team, initiate the establishment of SMEs involving students at the Babussalam Al-Firdaus Islamic Boarding School through diversification of dairy-based processed products and bakery products. Firstly, introduction of some lectures including bakery products technology, milk processing technology, packaging and storage technology, food quality assurance and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). Secondly, product trials and training activities are carried out offline by implementing health protocols due to the Covid-19 pandemic at the Food Production and Training Center (FPTC), Universitas Brawijaya. Some processing equipment was given to Islamic boarding schools to facilitate the production of bakery and dairy products. The new SMEs in the field of bakery and dairy products can be executed through the empowerment of students so as to provide additional income for the Babussalam Al-Firdaus Islamic Boarding School to be financial independence.

ABSTRACT

The covid-19 pandemic made classroom-based learning change into online-based digital learning. It leads to the students' need for useful learning resources to study independently. The current research aimed to evaluate the impacts of module-assisted learning on students' entrepreneurial attitudes and intentions. It was designed with a one-group quasi-experimental pre-and post-test, and the whole learning process was online. It was hypothesized that there will be a remarkable improvement in students' entrepreneurial attitudes and intentions after they learn with the module. Data were collected by distributing questionnaires to students of two selected universities. To test the deviation between the two population means, t-test formula was used. The results demonstrated that 1) the use of modules can significantly improve students' entrepreneurial attitudes and 2) it cannot significantly increase their entrepreneurial intentions. Online learning of entrepreneurship with modules can increase entrepreneurial attitudes, but to increase entrepreneurial intentions, it is vital to explore learning strategies through maximum use of information technology. © 2022 SciencePark Science, Organization and Counseling. ABSTRACT

Indonesia has agreed to the ASEAN Consensus on the Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Migrant Workers. However, many cases have proved the vulnerability of the legal protection for Indonesian migrant workers in Malaysia. In other words, the consensus has not protected the workers. Therefore, this research was conducted to analyze considerations for the regulations designed to protect post-consensus migrant workers. The objective comprised three aspects: analysis of the legislation after consensus, the draft policy that realizes the consensus, and the enforcement based on the draft formulated to safeguard the rights of migrant workers—a normative juridical method used in this research. The results showed that the consensus is a soft law that does not have a binding effect and sanction, causing it vulnerable to a violation, especially among undocumented migrant workers. Therefore, the research recommends bureaucracy reform to reduce the administrative costs for the migrant workers, allowing them to have better legal protection. © 2022 Bestuur. All rights reserved.

ABSTRACT

Global infection and mortality rates have soared to millions due to SARS-CoV-2 human-to-human transmission via droplets which then declared as pandemic. This study examined the created cold plasma equipment (CPE) effectiveness in reducing COVID-19 transmission in a confined space. CPE sucked air using a fan in a test chamber then pushed it into a cold plasma reactor. The results indicated that it was able to terminate all SARS-CoV-2 variants along with bacteria and fungi indoors by keeping it turned on for 30 min' minimum. CPE was proven as safe and effective to hinder virus transmission with the acceptable ozone emission as the side effect. © 2022 University of Kerbala.

ABSTRACT

Introduction During the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdowns, large increases in domestic abuse (DA) were reported1. A pilot project to evaluate the utility of a dedicated sexual health IDSVA was undertaken in a larger inner-city SH/HIV service. Methods Commissioners were approached with data highlighting high numbers of high-risk DA identified within SH. Funding to pilot an integrated Sexual health IDSVA was obtained. The pilot ran between August 2020 - November 2021. Referrals were made to the IDSVA by clinic staff who identified DA victim/survivors during routine enquiry. Results 121 referrals were received, of which 118 were accepted and 82% risk-assessed. Majority were cis-female (80%), heterosexual (81%) and aged 25-34yrs (37%). Five patients were aged under 18. 40% were for DA, 28% for SA, 22% for both DA/SA. 32% were assessed as high risk of harm. 44% was from ex-partner and 14% acquaintances. 21 cases involved child safeguarding considerations. IDSVA roles included face-to-face and telephone assessments, safety planning, arranging refuge, social care/safeguarding referrals, signposting and training/support for SH staff. Discussion Significant numbers of patients with complex safeguarding needs, at high risk of harm were identified within sexual health, engaged with, and were supported by the SH IDSVA. Patient acceptability was reflected by the high uptake of IDSVA support (88%). IDSVA expertise and support freed up clinic staff time and resources.

ABSTRACT

The Covid-19 pandemic has affected all aspects of human life and has even forced humans to shift their life habits, including in the world of education. The learning model must shift from the traditional to modern synchronous or asynchronous models with information technology-based applications. This condition is known as the New Normal era in the education system. Y Generation and Z Generation as educational objects are now very close to technology, especially information technology, including in the teaching and learning process, so there is no need for extra effort in this regard. Therefore, it is essential to create a learning environment under the characteristics of this generation and can also support the new normal era of the education system. We offer the concept of a smart campus framework that integrates an IT-based learning system and a hybrid smart classroom system as a modern education method in an educational scenario that promises to accelerate quality education without leaving a good learning process. This article designs the concept of a smart campus framework that will accommodate a learning model that will accelerate the improvement of the quality of education through smart learning solutions and smart blended learning systems. We also offer achievements in improving service performance through smart academic services solutions and accommodating the management of existing classroom resources through smart equipment system solutions. This framework is designed to automatically solve all university-level education system problems based on multimedia and integrated with websites and information systems used on campus. © 2021 IEEE.
